Gym Owner - Coach
Jan Bevc Denny
Jan has been an athlete all my life, starting when he was about 8 years old with swimming. He was born and raised in Slovenia and always had a dream of moving to the United States to study and swim. 7 years ago he got his opportunity and moved to San Francisco to study hospitality. While he was studying and working as a manager at the Hyatt, Crossfit was his favorite part of the day.
He found CrossFit as an athlete and trained at San Francisco CrossFit for 3 years. He always tried helping other members in class which was noted by coaches and he was offered an internship at that gym. After coaching in San Francisco he moved to Denver 2 years ago. Here in this beautiful city he has coached in a couple of local gyms, while always wanting to have his own gym.

Assistant Sports Performance Coach
Griffin Zigrang
Griffin was introduced to CrossFit in 2011 when she stumbled upon crossfit.com and started doing the WODs at her local globo gym. She was immediately hooked. After moving to CO in 2014 she joined her first affiliate at CrossFit Ken Caryl, and a few months later, found her place at CrossFit 720.
Griffin was a gymnast from the time she could toddle until she was a 14-year old Level 9/10. She was forced to quit due to scoliosis and the inevitable, spinal fusion surgery. After surgery, she moved on to power tumbling, competitive cheerleading, and competitive dance, but gymnastics was a passion that, years later, she still hasn't gotten over. You will see evidence of this in her classes as she focuses on movement, proper body positions, and strict strength.
Pre-CrossFit, Griffin earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Longwood University and Master of Art in Organizational Behavior and Program Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University. She did program evaluation work in the public sector, both at the federal and local levels, for six years before acknowledging that the fitness world was where she needed to be.

Assistant Sports Performance Coach
Kathleen Kavanagh
Kathleen was introduced to CrossFit in 2012 as a college student studying exercise science at Grand Valley State University. She was immediately drawn to the community and varied exercise movements and intensities that CrossFit offers to enhance overall fitness. After graduating from GVSU, she moved home to northern Indiana where she pursued her passion for fitness at a medically based fitness facility. She worked with a range of individuals including those with chronic disease, the general population, and athletes.
In addition to Kathleen’s education and 5+ years of coaching, her fitness experiences come from years of testing her physical and mental abilities in sport, CrossFit, Weightlifting, and obstacle course racing. After moving to Denver, CO in October of 2020, she found 720 Athletics to be a distinguished fitness community that uses evidence-based methods and intentional programming. Kathleen began coaching at 720 Athletics in 2021 excited to share her passion for fitness with others!
